Just a little note from Zechariah

If I said I was from Zion what would you think?

Zechariah 2:10 says “Sing for joy and be glad, O daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will dwell in your midst, “ declares the Lord.” In 1 Corinthians 6:19 I am told that I am God’s temple. Therefore God dwells within me. Therefore, according to the Word of the Lord I am a daughter of Zion. What does verse 11 say “Many nations will join themselves to the Lord in that day and will become My people. Then I will dwell in your midst, and you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.” Wait….this says that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. Who was sent to us? Well John 1 tells us that the Word became flesh, and we all agree this is speaking about Jesus. Hmmm and verse 12 says The Lord will possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem. Isn’t Jesus from the tribe of Judah? Ok let’s finish this section out and go to verse 13 “Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord; for He is aroused from His Holy habitation.”

Have you been crucified with Christ? Do you walk by Flesh or by the Spirit?

Know your position in Christ, trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and lean NOT on your own understanding….because this message makes no sense to those who are trying to understand with their carnal (flesh) minds.

My prayer is that the eyes of your heart may be open and you may see what this Word says about who you truly are!

Christ in you?

Last night during study we were in John 12, where Mary anoints Jesus’s feet. Man was this a power house of a night. The night before we were in James 1, I only want to touch on one verse from that text because it goes so beautifully with what the Holy Spirit revealed last night.

James 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

The word delude means to mislead the mind or judgment, to deceive. So James warns us not to deceive ourselves into thinking because we ‘hear’ the word that is all that is needed. Let’s jump back to John 12. What was revealed last night was the levels of faith and what these levels of faith displayed.

There are two areas where He displayed this. The first is in verses 2-3; we see Martha serving, Lazarus is listening, and Mary is doing. What is it she is doing? She is anointing Jesus for His burial, yet how did she know He would die? Because she listened and BELIEVED Him. Therefore we see her step into action. Remember when she was the listener at His feet while Martha slaved away preparing for the feast?

I wanted to jump over this but the Spirit keeps putting it before me, last night when I got home I noticed something else. In verse 4 after Mary broke open the nard and the fragrance filled the room Judas Iscariot began to rebuke her. While I read this I heard within my spirit the parable of the sower and the seed. How the enemy comes to snatch away that which was good. How many times have you been filled with the presence of the Spirit and doing what it is that the Lord has placed within your heart, and someone comes and tries to stomp out your fire? This is what is happening in this text. My encouragement to you is trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean NOT on your own understanding, or on the understanding of another. TRUST IN THE LORD. Let HIM be your teacher!

The next text that displays the different levels of faith and the way this is revealed through their actions is in verses 29-30. When a voice came out of heaven, we see some hear thunder, others say an Angel spoke, and Jesus heard the voice. When Moses went up to the mountain for 40 days the people, riddled with idols and disbelief heard terrifying thunder. This filter (of idols and disbelief) caused the fear within them to rule. The next group of people believed, yet gave credit to Angels speaking. Have you ever listened to the Spirit of God and spoke to a friend about what He told you to say and they are shocked that you were able to give them a Word that resonated so perfectly? I have this happen ALL the time. I’ve been told I am in touch with the supernatural, that I have perfect timing, that I have great intuition, so on and so on. When all of these things are great compliments, they’re not the true reason as to why I was able to deliver that message. Just like the voice that came from heaven was not from Angels. Jesus says in verse 30 “This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.” Jesus knew who was speaking, just as I have known who spoke to me for this other person. It wasn’t for MY sake that He gave me a Word for them, but so that they would believe God in me.

Friends, in John 17 Jesus prayed for those of us who would believe in Him because of the message they (the disciples) would speak. He prayed that WE would be ONE with HIM AND THE FATHER. That we would be as Jesus was, One with the FATHER. Revelation 12:10 says that the accuser is cast down by the blood of the lamb (Jesus) AND the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. Jesus tells us if we love our lives we will lose it, but if we lose our life we will live. In John 6:63 He says that HIS WORDS ARE SPIRIT AND LIFE.

When you speak are you speaking as man, or as God? Are you one with God? God is speaking through His children, but many of you refuse to see God in man. You SAY yes we are one with Christ, yet live as mere men. Believe as mere men. When God speaks, do you hear thunder, think it’s an Angel, or do you KNOW the Father’s voice? Do you get caught up in the flesh that God is using to speak to you, thinking that there is NO WAY SHE IS ONE WITH THE FATHER AS JESUS WAS. Do you even think that it is possible for man to live as one as the Father?

Friends, until we live the testimony as Christ in us no one will ever believe that Jesus’s prayer is answered.

It is written…

I was once consumed with books. My home holds over 600+ and my Nook an additional 500+. Now I haven’t read them all but had hoped one day I would. Then last February during a 10 day fast from sleep and food (would catch a couple hours every 3 days or so) I had several experiences that I’ve never truly been able to explain. It has been a pivotal turning point within in my walk to say the least. During one of these days I felt as if I had a fresh baptism of the Spirit of Truth. It was pressed upon me so intensely that everything had to be truth, there couldn’t even be a partial truth spoken because one wrong word could change everything. Eve changed what God had told them and death seeped into all mankind. This is also the time when I was told that all I ever needed to leave my children was the Bible. That all the other books were pointless and would only confuse them. His Word was all I Needed.

It took me a month before I finally felt that this was true. And for almost a year now I’ve been on a fast from all other teachings. Slowly I let go of devotionals only reading ones that I felt led to. Weeding out sermons, commentaries, and everything else that watered down what was already written. And today I have never felt more mental peace and security in my life. Mainly though the clarity and confidence in what I know now is unshakable.

God has always been my teacher. He has assured the way for me to hear His Voice and I no longer need another to affirm what He has told me.

The text that inspired this over share is:

Ecclesiastes 12:12 NASB

But beyond this, my son, be warned: the writing of many books is endless, and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body.

I remember when I first read this my selfishness rejected what it said. Today as I read these words, and see the weariness still within others who go to other books and sermons for comfort I can’t help but say “Wish I would’ve listen sooner”
It is written…Go to Him and let everything else Go.

Isaiah 26:3-4 NASB

“The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. “Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord , we have an everlasting Rock.

I encourage you to fast from all other teachings for 7 days (or more, preferably more) and only read Scripture allowing the Holy Spirit to give you understanding. Believing He will as it is written in James. Your belief changes everything and when you begin to weed out the chaff that has been planted within your mind, May you SEE who YOU truly are! Blessings friends. (Ps. Fasting even means from blogs like this.)
