Blessed or cursed?

Genesis 12:1-3 NASB

Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”

Galatians 3:13 NASB

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on  a  tree “-

Colossians 2:13-14 NASB

When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

Romans 6:3-7 NASB

Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin.

Romans 5:18 NASB

So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men.

Are you still dead in your sins, hanging on the cross? Or have you been born again alive IN Christ?

Deuteronomy 30:15 NASB

“See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity;

Test yourselves

1 Peter 1:3-9 NASB

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

Read this carefully, IF NECESSARY, you have been distressed by various trials. I thought about this last night. I asked ok what is a human explanation  for “trial”. You have a prosecutor, defendant, and a judge. One is accusing you, which would be Satan. He is accusing you of sin, carnality, that you are not in fact the Son of God. This causes distress, UNTIL you rightly remember who defends you and that YOUR judgment has already been made. Through Jesus Christ YOU have been justified to LIFE, which means death aka sin is NOT in you, the YOU that is born again. Satan has NOTHING in you. He is a liar. You have been redeemed.

1 John 5:18 NASB

We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

THE EVIL ONE DOES NOT TOUCH HIM.

2 Corinthians 13:5 NASB

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you fail the test?
