I only speak English so if someone were to speak Spanish to me I would possibly catch a few words of what they’re saying but ultimately wouldn’t truly understand what they were trying to tell me.
This is what happens when believers try speaking to those who don’t have ears to hear or a heart to understand. Therefore they hurl insults at you because you believe something that is foreign to them.
“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Matthew 5:11 NASB
Stand firm in your beliefs and resist responding to their insults knowing that they simply didn’t understand what you were saying.
When we get into an argument over our beliefs we both lose, when it’s done online, which we all know that’s when the powerful keyboarders come out with fingers flaring. Those who look on lose also.
Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness,
2 Timothy 2:14-16 NASB
Friends there will be a time for us to speak and there will be a time for us to remain silent. Pray diligently for discernment on which is which. Not everyone sees as we see nor do they wish to.
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. Matthew 7:6 NASB
