Her sins are many…

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.

1 Timothy 1:15 NASB

Have you ever looked at an old picture of yourself and thought “WOW, if only people knew just how lost I was behind that smile?”

This is my current Facebook profile picture. It came up on my ‘memories’ and I thought how appropriate for the frame they have saying “Saved by His Amazing Grace” so I posted it.

I can’t stop looking at it with such gratitude. Knowing that in that moment I was an alcoholic stripper, having an emotional online affair with a married man, and had no idea who Jesus was.

For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.”

Luke 7:47 NASB

Today, 12 years later I sing His praises and rejoice at the life He redeemed me from.

He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear And will trust in the Lord .

Psalms 40:2‭-‬3 NASB

I don’t hide my past from others. I hope to never forget how far I’ve fallen. I desire to stay empathetic to those who are broken and lost in darkness. To show them that He is a Good God and desires that we ALL be saved through the blood of Jesus Christ.

I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.

Isaiah 43:25 NASB

Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you.

Ezekiel 36:26‭-‬29 NASB

Then He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.”  And He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Luke 7:48‭, ‬50 NASB

Do you know who you are? Today?

”Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God. “Speak kindly to Jerusalem; And call out to her, that her warfare has ended, That her iniquity has been removed, That she has received of the Lord’s hand Double for all her sins.”

Isaiah 40:1‭-‬2 NASB

My prayer for you is to read this and believe it. Your warfare HAS ended. He who is in you is greater. Walk in your power.

That her iniquity HAS been removed. This is the one that so many say “I’m saved” and then with the same mouth say “I’m a sinner”. Then what have you been saved from?

from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way.

James 3:10 NASB

Do you not know that when you were baptized you were baptized into Christ’s death? (See Romans 6) That by being baptized into His death you agree that He did in fact take your flesh as His own. Your SIN as HIS OWN on the Cross.

Hold on to that for a moment. Resonate with the image of Christ hanging on the cross. Is He still there? On the Cross? Are we still there with Him at that Cross?

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on  a  tree “-

Galatians 3:13 NASB

Are you still on the Cross? Cursed? Full of sin? Dead? Denying Christ and what He has done? Claiming you are a sinner, you are your mistakes, you are your flesh. Are you still hanging on the Cross?

For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin.

Romans 6:5‭-‬7 NASB

Or have you risen with your God? Are you seated with Him? Have you been born again of the Spirit? Have you truly agreed in your baptism that your FLESH HAS DIED? Because HE WHO HAS DIED IS FREE FROM SIN.

Do you know who you are? Today?

However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Romans 8:9‭-‬10 NASB

There’s a reason the word IF is said so much about your identity in Romans 8. Because many do not believe Jesus did what He said He did. Many teach you every week that you are still a sinner. Yet this says he who has died is freed from sin. Is this claiming it’s only for those who have left this planet? Do we get a chance to read the bible to learn how to walk in the Spirit after we’ve died physically?

Or is Roman 7 explaining the battle that now occurs when your mind begins to believe that you, that which is Spirit, cannot sin, but your flesh that is no longer you because it was crucified with Christ still battles for control?

No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John 3:9 NASB

Friends, if you have been baptized without this understanding than I challenge you to go back to the scriptures. Specifically Romans 6 gain true understanding about your baptism, read Romans 7 about the battle the occurs when your mind is battling the death of your flesh, and continue to Romans 8 to see who you truly are. Free from condemnation, you are Spirit, Sons of God. Then go to 1 John and read why we need to admit we were our flesh, we need Jesus to destroy our flesh, and then finish the book and see that those who keep you bound to your sin are sons of the devil. You are no longer your flesh, no longer stuck in your iniquity. You and I have been redeemed.

For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.” Then He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.”  And He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Luke 7:47‭-‬48‭, ‬50 NASB

Remember who you are…

Are you denying Jesus?

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:1 NASB

Recently, I’ve been thinking about how we use God’s written word. On others and ourselves.

First let’s talk about how we use it towards others.

You can always sense the context in which someone speaks it or posts it on Social Media.

You can feel the indignantion within what is written. Most likely from a previous hurt or offence. Although the scripture justifies what they’re feeling, you have to wonder if God wasn’t trying to show them the thorn in their flesh that they’re holding onto, hoping to free them from this. But instead they use it as a weapon to hurt the other person.

And although the word is a weapon (Ephesian 6:17), it’s not to be used against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).

God says to remove the LOG  (plank) from our own eye before we attempt to remove the SPECK from another. The difference in description of these two items is enormous and purposeful, it’s how He speaks to gently say “HEY YOU’VE GOT BIGGER PROBLEMS THAN THEM”.

Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?  Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?  You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
Matthew 7:3‭-‬5 NASB

Consider this the next time someone hurts or wrongs you and you make a vague post with scripture in hopes they see it.

As far as how you use it on yourself…..

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.  But there are some of you who do not believe.”

John 6:63,64a
Our FLESH profits nothing from the Spirit and the Spirit gives life. Jesus says here that the words He has spoken are SPIRIT and LIFE.

Your flesh hates His written words….hence the guilt. The fear almost of coming to the scriptures when you have walked in your flesh. Fearful of what you will read.

Friends, God’s Words give LIFE to our SPIRITS. They’re never meant to CONDEMN who you are, Spirit.

When you condemn yourself because of what your flesh has done you’re agreeing that you are your flesh. You are taking that sin on as your own. You are agreeing with Satan that you ARE a sinner. You deserve condemnation, punishment, and pain.

You are denying what Jesus HAS done FOR you at the CROSS.

When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.

Colossians 2:13‭-‬15 NASB

Denying your FREEDOM, FORGIVENESS, NEWNESS in Christ.

You get caught in a cycle of lies that you’re unworthy, unholy, filthy. Your mind is set on the flesh. And the mind set on the flesh is hostile towards God, therefore you cannot believe HIM.

For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,  and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
Romans 8:6‭-‬9 NASB

You MUST get the LOG (or PLANK) out of your eye because it’s blinding you from the TRUTH that your flesh HAS already been CRUCIFIED with Christ and there is NO condemnation for YOU.

This is why is so vital that we handle the Word of Truth so diligently because we can miss the Truth that we are indeed walking by the FLESH and not the SPIRIT.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15 NASB
The next time your mind slips to your flesh let us thank our Father that He has FREED you from your FLESH. Let’s thank Him that you are NO longer identified as your FLESH and thank Him for nailing it to the cross, taking it out of the way so you can freely WALK in the newness of Christ’s Spirit. Thank Him for going before you and lighting your path with His Word.

Be cautious not to get caught up in apologizing for this sin. By doing this you are agreeing that you are indeed guilty, and Jesus didn’t take ALL of the sins of the WORLD at the cross.

Remember who you are…

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Romans 8:14 NASB

A perfect person is One with Christ

A perfect person is One with Christ.

John 17:22-23 NASB

The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;  I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

Remember the flesh profits nothing. We don’t appraise the things of the flesh but that of the Spirit and bc of that those born again are perfect.

1 John 4:15-17 NASB

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.

Because as He is, so also are we in this world.

We as born again children have to be careful what we claim as US, we are not our flesh.

Romans 8:9-10 NASB

However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

John 3:6 NASB

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Why does this matter?

Matthew 12:37 NASB

For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

John 9:31 NASB

We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him.

Stop claiming to be sinners. If you have been baptized in water and Spirit your old self HAS died.

Romans 6:3-7 NASB

Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin.

Many are afraid to accept this and use these texts to keep ahold of their sinful nature.

1 John 1:8, 10 NASB

If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

Forgetting that 1 John continues, and refuses to see these following text that was in the middle of these two texts.

1 John 1:9 NASB

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Remember we have to repent of our old thinking we have to admit as carnal (flesh) we were sinners. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, which is death, sin. Many refused to believe Jesus when He told them they needed to be freed from sin.

John 8:31-33 NASB

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;  and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”  They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?”

What I want you to see is Jesus spoke this to the Jews “who HAD believed Him. Just like today many believe Jesus but refuse to continue in HIS Words of freedom. They WANT to stay in their sin.

When Jesus returns He is not going to then clean you from your sins, He already did that at the cross.

Hebrews 9:28 NASB

so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Know who you truly are!

Matthew 5:48 NASB

Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Stop believing the Devil

Yesterday I read a blog from someone who is living abroad, building up the church. It’s mostly about their new life over there getting used to the customs, quite entertaining. Until I read those words that just make my blood boil, “I’ll never be perfect.” As you can imagine I stopped reading and began praying for them, and all they come in contact with. Last night at study we began with John 17, where Jesus is praying for us. God knew I needed to get this off my chest and would need some Words from Him so I didn’t spend the entire blog speaking my own words.

The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and you in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. John 17:22,23

Now I ask you, how can we show them the Father was indeed IN Jesus, if we are NOT IN Jesus? How can we be IN Christ unless we are perfect? Friends, we have got to throw away the devils doctrine and wake up to what Jesus said….IS SAYING to US today. WAKE UP O’Sleeper! The devil has deceived us with the Word of God and is continuing to deceive millions of people who believe they are saved, yet proudly talk about how worthless and sinful they are….WHAT??? How can God who is PERFECT dwell within YOU and you NOT be perfect?

No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he CANNOT sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:9

Perfect is to be WITHOUT SIN! Knowing whom you are IN Christ, we are ONE with Christ, not a separated part of Him. We are in Him and He is in Us…..if you believe that He truly took your sins to the grave, then you are without SIN. The ONLY sin left is UNBELIEF. Which is exactly what kept the Israelites from entering the Promise Land, see Hebrews 3:19. Which is why BELIEF is so important to salvation. Believing every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, which is The Lord Jesus Christ.

I truly cannot even tell you how frustrated I am to hear these lies taught to my brothers and sisters. Their birthright is being stolen, just as Satan stole it from Adam, he is yet again stealing it from the Children of God.

Jesus came to buy back our birthright, stop allowing the devil to deceive you. Read the Word of God and believe that you are FREE from sin. If you believe that Jesus truly did accomplish what He said He did on the cross.

~sometimes I just gotta write~

Are you perfect?

Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48

That’s a text we don’t usually hear preached in services. Yet it still remains to be in the Bible and if we claim to follow Jesus and all that He tells us to do then I have to wonder why this is a text that so many fear quoting. Perhaps they figure if they don’t teach on it then they can be free to not follow it. Many people who have taught me in the past definitely do not believe it’s possible to even do. They always say “Only Jesus is perfect.” And they are partially correct. Jesus is perfect, and so are we, when we come to believe that He removed ALL of our transgressions, taken them out of our way nailing them to the cross.

If a tree had fallen in the road this would cause me to be unable to cross the road. If the tree were taken out of my way then I would be free to cross the road. So why is it when we read Colossians 2:13,14 we don’t believe that Jesus actually did this for us?

image

I’m going to venture to explain why I didn’t believe this for so long. There are several excuses. One was because no one else taught that, and when I finally saw through the eyes of the Spirit that we are indeed FREE from sin, those who were in the church longer than me repeatedly told me that I would always sin, that we would never be perfect. Quoting Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,. What they haven’t been taught, so they quote it as they have been quoted to, is that this passage is describing how there is no distinction between who receives the justification through their Faith. If you continue to verse 24 it says: being justified as a gift by His grace through redemption which is in Christ Jesus. Justified means to be acquitted, to be declared innocent, guiltless.

The key for this justification to take place is hidden in verse 22 ‘for those who believe, again not how verse 23 is ever quoted. I ask that you take the time to read Romans 3 today on your own asking the Holy Spirit of God to reveal to you the TRUE meaning as the what is written. This requires you to throw away everything, including this post, you have ever heard before. Go to it with no preconceived notions and simply allow God to speak to you. He is calling out His children. It is time for the Sons of God to be revealed.

Galatians 3:26,27 says For you are all sons of God through your faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothes yourselves with Christ. If I have faith that Jesus took ALL of my transgressions, sins, out of my way then I an FREE to live without the fear of SIN. Why? Well because perfect LOVE casts out fear because fear means punishment, and I am free from ever being punished because there is no condemnation for those who are IN Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1 . I am a Daughter of God, and this means I am blameless before my Lord through the blood of Jesus Christ. He died once for ALL, when He returns He will not be removing sins again. He already did that. Our only requirement in this life is to BELIEVE IN THE ONE WHOM HE SENT. John 6:29

I know this is hard to believe that you can indeed live life perfect as Jesus, free from sin. That is why we require FAITH. Our eyes tell us we are still the same flesh, yet by FAITH we know that we have indeed died when Christ died, and through Gods Spirit are we raised to life. Romans 8:9-11 (read Romans 8)

So I leave you with a challenge. I challenge you to throw away everything you have ever learned, at least for today. Open your bible to the texts that I have suggested and ask God to reveal to you if indeed Jesus did take ALL your sins from you. To reveal to you the lies that you have believed that have kept you in bondage that you are unable to live a life without sin. Friends our God is a GOOD God, Jesus died ONCE, do not ask Him to die again because you don’t believe that His blood was enough. Be Free from sin. Be perfect as our Father in Heaven is perfect.
